Is ICANN not the users themselves?
Assuming we can get a significant number of @Large members involved, yes
they would! And that's why I feel the @Large process is so important.

Yes. I know that politics are inevitable, and any decision ICANN seems to
make is often being judged politically, particularly when it potentially
effects some vested interest's profits! :) But as long as ICANN focuses
primarily on what is best for everyone equally (a balancing act sure to make
as may enemies as friends at times!), it will have provided a great servicve
to the world!
