What I have meant of the "oldest Netizen" is not age wise but seniority in
this forum because he or she will be more familiar with all points and
issues that has been discussed before.Although I agree on your point of
different age groups would have different opinion and interest in the issues
under discussion. That's why we proposed that the ICANN's membership should
consist of all " Netizen" who are interested in the internet regardless of
their age, race, sex, and or origin. as long they show interest in
participation, and we should not forget that this is the currant case of
ICANN.
Age should never be an advantage or disadvantage point for any member but
issues and participation are, we should insist that we should have all age
groups represented with in the the ICANN their is no future without the past
and the present is the mix between these different generations and the
witnessing of the results of this mix.
As for your statement "For ICANN to effectively respond to such different
needs a regular audit on individual users is necessary. And so I agree
with others, that the interest of the individual in ICANN should be above
the interest of the group."
I agree on all different types of individuals being present in the ICANN
membership and has the rights to debate, and object to any idea, opinion and
to propose new ones. but at the end every thing is voted on and decided at
the polls these are important regulation and laws to enable us to organize
our selves other wise we can not produce any thing and we just keep on going
on circles. all the rights of the individual in ICANN should be maintained
all the interest discussed and reviewed by the group. but never should the
" interest of the individual in ICANN be above the interest of the group"
this is the formula of reaching no where and its impossible to achieve. I
would like to state very old saying we used to hear in our early grade
school "The borders of Your personal Freedom Ends where the borders of the
personal freedom of the others start"
