Because vested interests are afraid of losing power over the thing they
created if everyone who uses it has a say.  And they are right, they will!
But as any good parent knows, there comes a time when you have to loosen
control over your child to let them blossom into an adult!  It's time to
turn the Internet over to the people of the world!
