Bruce and all stakeholders or interested parties,
As you know Bruce, this forum is supposedly graciously provided
by the ICANN BoD and staff as a forum for the ALSC to gather
information are concerns, considerations or otherwise methods
for the Re-creation of the At-Large for ICANN mandated by
the DOC.
As you amy also know Bruce, this is at least the 5th iteration or
"Study" for At-large membership in ICANN that has been conducted.
The results after the first one were predictable, "NO At-Large"...
I amongst most of our members share in your concerns you nicely
outline below to one degree or another. As a fellow retired military
man, you and I amongst a few of our members share in a level of
honor, respect, and consideration for others that many life long
civilian's don't. We care, and have put our very lives on the line
to prove it. However, we also recognize that many people
involved in the questionably legitimate ICANN BoD and staff
activities and/or duties have a lower bar of respect for their
fellow man/woman.
