I totally disagree. Many memberships have such rules and they
are enforced to the extent that if it is shown that the list was used
by a member for commercial purposes (spam) or distributed to non-
members by a member, that member could actually be suspended
from membership and access to the list denied to that member.
The rules would have to be clearly stated and imparted to the
members that the importance of maintaining them emphasized.
It is a serious offense within a membership situation to abuse such
a list. I believe that it would be taken seriously by the membership.
