Has anyone in this august group ever considered the process used for on-line
voting of shares of stock? I do this all the time and it seems to work
well. I don't know how secure it is, but if you consider the possiblities
of using this mechanism to conduct a proxy war for control of a company, you
would have to think they have at least given the security issue some serious
thought. Check it out.

Also, though I haven't read the draft report yet (I will as soon as I can),
I'm very disturbed by what appears to be in it (based on the comments I've
seen). I am an individual who would like to have the *opportunity* to
provide input to ICANN's policies. I do not currently have my own domain
name and have no intention of ever having one (though I have considered it).

I also strongly disagree with any proposal to reduce the number of at large
board members since I believe that the at large community will always be
some disatvantage vs. the more organized stake holders and reducing the at
large board seats will compound this.

When I first joined this list, I thought that many were being overly
paranoid about the intentions of the current *powers that be*. Maybe not.
