Sadly... I note that "our boy" Jeff Williams has attempted another DeFacto "take over" of a public list.
Too bad there isnt a system which allows one to "filter" webpage views of list archives...

I am afraid that if we were reviewing all the participants to any ICANN mailing list we might be surprised by the quality and the morality of many particpants. One of the principle of our new society fitting well the network architecture is the principle of "indiferenciation". It means that one does not consider the "mines" (background, culture, money, power) etc or any "me" in a community and just consider them at their face value. This is the most secure way to be ready to welcome everyone, be representative of all the concerns and not to cast detrimental exclusives depriving the community from precious inputs.

I have always considered seriously the inputs of Mr. Jeff Williams, what he writtes. I discovered that they were very often of great value, but that Mr. Williams has a neat tendency to gentlemanly make some fun at the people who do not bring real contributions. His humor is sophisticated, very british if I may so for a Texien. It seems usually not to be understood by the concerned person who demonstrates that way the pertinence of Mr. Williams' evaluation of him. I must acknowldege that I now have a very simple gauge to evaluate a forum or a person. If Mr. Jeff Williams' contributions on behalf of his INEG Members are of interest: this means the forum is interesting. I tend also not to keep reading the nincompoops who filter out his posts. From observation this has saved me hours of unecessary reading.

There are some who considers Mr. Jeff Williams as a Jester. I accept that at some time he uses some understatements to convey an idea, as we all do. But I would serioulsy advise you to read the URLs that he may bring to attention for our benefit. To my experience now, at least one major issue every constituency published on and the NC opposed the world has been triggered purposedly by Mr. Jeff Williams. I have all the elements as I was one of the strings he pulled.

Some oppose Mr. Williams on the grounds of the 114k INEGroup. If you carefully look into the IP and mail addresses in different archive you will be able to trace a few Members of the INEGroup who from time to time participate to some ICANN fora (they obviously tend to rely in Mr. Williams to represent them). Some are known. Some are not. What is interesting is the impact they have. If someone writes the history of the ICANN I am sure the INEGroup will have its importance in it.

Please do not think I am joking at you or sharing into some joke. I only suggest you pay attention to Mr. Jeff Williams posts in another way for a while as I did afterhaving been explained and I got Mr. Williams on the phone on several occasions. You may note that he gives his phone number and you can call him. I must even say for the sake of the truth that I have been longly on the phone with him and one of his fiercest opponents. Legend die hard, all the more when hey are usuefull to the one concerned, and certainly Mr. Jeff Williams partly enjoys the situation wich brings him many insigths.

For what it may worth.
Jefsey
