Folks, many of us have been very vociferous in this forum wanting to see
momentum on the part of ICANN to make the At-Large a reality. As ALSC
members, Esther and Pindar have, in the past, often been the target of our
posts, mine no less than others! However, they have now chosen to stand
with us, apart from their official capacity, to try and self-organize the
At-Large.
I am asking everyone who, in the past, has voiced their outrage, frustration
and cynicism here to, at the very least, hold off and observe, and if you
are so moved, to shift your attention to supporting the self-organization
effort that has begun.
This is what we have been asking for, people. Now that it is begging to
happen, please don't doom it by continuing the same old arguments. Current
events have made them moot! Something magical and fragile is happening
here. Please don't screw it up!
