This is extremely insincere,

She is not on the board, got paid to work in the ALSC, is a leading banner carrier for ICANN, interfaces on a regular basis in a closed manners with the staff and BoD members.  She works with and influences policy behind the scenes.

Yes she is not staff.  So why do not you show a little sophistication and not bullshit the world with this kind of spin selling? Yes she is doing her own "managing process" which most of us would soon see go away, she has a history of collusion and ill formed not nice indications.

I am glad you now have branded yourself clearly as a supporter of her agenda.  While I personally like you at least now it is clear you are opposed to AL seats on the board, and therefor I must consider you hostile to my dotcommoners

Sincerely,
Eric

Really, let's show a little sophistication, here.
The average woman on the street can tell the difference between staff who are hired by ICANN and someone who is managing a process, with independent funding. It is a very hard task, by the way, that latter one..Show some recognition for that. I don't agree with your perspective AT ALL.Marilyn

What do you and the rest of the ICANN staff mean by "at large structures."
Is this the ICANN way of saying it will do the Lynn plan, where you don't
recognize any single structure to formally represent the public, but you
have these consultations with various groups, that have zero votes on
anything?   I note that the Lynn plan doesn't have much of a role for users
or the public in general other than to have some PR staff person talk to
them.

Jamie
That's the way I've interpreted it as well.  The money Esther Dyson speaks of goes
to ICANN, to be spent as it sees fit, and I've earlier characterized that Announcement
thing as "divide and conquer."  It's typical ICANN chicanery.

Ok.  As someone who was just elected for a 90 day panel working on this,
what do you mean by "facilitate the creation of At-Large structures."?
Are there some services you are able to provide efforts such as the one
that
I got roped into?

Jamie

What services is icannatlarge.com looking for?

Currently, I'm doing outreach to identify individuals/groups worldwide
interested in organizing At-Large structures, looking for common
objectives
and interests relevant to Internet users and ICANN's mission, and
establishing mechanisms for coordination and cooperation among
(current/future) at-large structures.
