Only if they aren't feeding *their* collective concensus into a single At Large "clearing house," if you will, that speaks with one voice to ICANN et al.

Exactly.  If we keep the process open and invite everyone to participate, no one can accuse us of furthering anyones agaenda other than the concensus of our membership.
